SkatingApp
SkatingApp is an application for managing and timing speed skating events. SkatingApp consist of a collection of applications which provide different functionalities. Belows list explains in short the different SkatingApp applications
SkatingApp- Provides interfaces and functions for managing and timing speed skating events. It is the main application used for managing speed skating events.SkatingApp Scoreboard- This application is used to display speed skating related information such as schedules, starting orders and results on scoreboards and displays.SkatingApp PhotoFinish- This application is used to sync PhotoFinish times and images from FinishLynx systems into SkatingApp's database system.
Requirements
SkatingApp requires the following (These packages are automatically installed when installing SkatingApp):
- .Net Framework 4.6.2
- Microsoft Visual C++ 2013
- Microsoft SQL Server 2014
- Timing specific drivers: ALGE Timy, MyLaps X2, FinishLynx etc.
Installation
SkatingApp can be installed from the browser using ClickOnce Installer. The ClickOnce installer will update/install the SkatingApp application on your computer and it will also keep your version of SkatingApp up-to-date. The Installer will automatically install any requirements that are missing.

Setup
SkatingApp uses MS SQL Server as a database server. The setup section of this documentation explains in detail how to setup your database server and SkatingApp before you run SkatingApp for the first time. The following steps are explained in the setup.
